Hello everyone! The 2014 flying season is almost upon us. It's an exciting time of year that modelers look forward to after a long winter, absent of flying. We have started prepping and getting the field ready for another awesome year. We are in the process of rolling the field to smooth out some of those bumps and holes, and repair some of the wind-swept areas from that wonderful Wyoming wind. A few of us are excited about taking our winter project out of the hangar and on its maiden flight. Hope to see you at the flight line.
Our second annual fly in was a huge success, attracting R/C pilots from all over the state. The club's trainer plane and buddy box got a strong workout over the weekend. Several members dusted off their planes, charged their flight batteries, and came out to the field last week after waiting all winter for the next opportunity to fly. They took advantage of the perfect weather to brush up on their skills and get some stick time.

Converse County Flyers members will once again represent the club on June 8, 2013 at the annual Jackalope Days festival in Douglas. Volunteers will be needed to sell raffle tickets and promote the club. Much like last year, we will be selling raffle tickets to raise funds for field maintenance and club expenses.
2013 raffle items are the following:
Raffle tickets will be sold for $5 each or 5 tickets for $20. Club members wishing to sell tickets may contact the club treasurer or pick up tickets at the May meeting.
